Some Books I Have Read

Escape
I have developed a small obsession with Escape by Carolyn Jessop. She tells all about her life in the polygamous FLDS community and how she managed to escape with all of her 8 children.

Oliver Twist
Oliver Twist is killing me!! That's right, I'm still not done.

I am done Kisses From Katie and I will freely admit that no book has ever made me cry as much as this book has... I feel like such a girl. LOL!
Peter Starcatchers.gif
Last week I read Peter and the Starcatchers and the next book in that series, Peter and the Shadow Thieves. They were awesome :) I also finished the next book, Peter and the Secret of Rundoon.

I recently finished The Hunger Games. Wow. What a series! The main character gets a little annoying in the third book, but they are still very much worth reading... a couple times :)

Cliques, Hicks, and Ugly Sticks
My Booksneeze.com book is Cliques, Hicks, and Ugly Sticks by K.D. McCrite. It's a young adult book and since I love shopping that section of the bookstore and they were only giving out a limited number of these for review, I stalked booksneeze to get it :) For once I had it shipped to me instead of getting the ebook, so that was exciting. It was an really enjoyable book... But maybe not appropriate for tweens. Read my full review here.

Eragon by Christopher Paolini. This is a young adult book written by a 15 yr old boy almost 8 years ago. It is an excellent tale of a young farm boy who discovers a strange rock while hunting in the mountains. Once his 'rock' hatches into a dragon he is swept into an amazing adventure where he learns what is important and discovers that he now has a responsibility to act. 2 years later, Eldest, the next book in the series was published and three years after that they released the third book, Brisingr. Three years later, I have just finished The fourth and final book, Inheritance! It was everything I could have wanted in the last book of this series! I was worried that I would be left wondering about this or that, but he really tied up all the loose ends and left me with a sense of finality. Excellent books!
After giving my review on Tolkien I was able to download Heaven is for Real for Kids... I was sceptical, but I couldn't resist the chance to check this book out for myself. I reviewed it here.
J.R.R. Tolkien
In October read a biography on JRR Tolkien that I downloaded to my nook for free from Booksneeze.com in exchange for a review :) You can read the review here.
